2020.27 : Survival Contest Of Loss

TRACY, CALIFORNIA, USA. CIRCA 2020

Love may easily turn to hate. As it is easier to hate who you have once loved than to remain indifferent.

— Agatha Christie's Poirot

Another character replies, “One can love, serve, and still be happy. Even if one is not loved in return.”

I have died an honorable and glorious death on love’s battlefield having given “the last full measure of devotion.” There is no room for regret or hate. Only love.

It’s no longer about her. It’s about coming to terms with the realization that life is a survival contest of loss.
