By far, the biggest threat to my success has been not to have a mentor to talk with. Not just anyone – someone with “wisdom” who had followed a similar path.

Roadblocks Are A Test Of Your Commitment
There’s no effective way to generalize this. Here’s a sample of considerations:
- The role of luck.
- Moats, e.g. institutional, governmental, professional, corporate, societal, etc.
- Fanciful thinking.
- Voices in our heads, put there by others, e.g. indoctrination, dogma.
- Lack of the right information, knowledge, education, experience, etc.
- Emotions.
- Conflicting desires.
- Social constructs.
- Social status.
- Maturing from reactionary thinking to preemptive/responsive thinking.
Worry not. No one starts out with having everything in order. Critically, none of them should prevent you from taking the first steps forward.Your new life will be about incremental improvement.
